Recipies

healthy dietThis section is what you might call a labour of love because, to put it simply, I LOVE FOOD! Indeed my fondest memories of childhood were of the smells of Mum’s home cooking.

You see I believe that in order to live a full and happy life your primary focus should be enjoyment, especially shared enjoyment, such as the simple, time-honoured enjoyment of sitting around the table for a home-cooked family meal. Variety, as they say, is the spice of life and although proper exercise, diet and nutrition are all extremely important, there’s a lot more to life than just jogging every morning and eating salads.

Don’t forget too much of something, even something healthy, can be bad for you. So, the idea behind this particular section is to share a range of different recipe types, with plenty of healthy options, ideal for those looking to loose weight, as well some of those classic and traditional home-cooking favourites. In other words, not just healthy meals but hearty ones as well.

If you’ve got a great recipe you’re proud of why not contact us and we can share it with the world!

Cooking with pressure

selfhelp : September 25, 2011 12:04 am : Diet-Nutrition, recipies

The whole theme of this site, is Self Help, Now that can mean many different things to many different people. My own biggest problem is trying to find utilise my time in each day, to achieve the most I possibly can. We all know I love outsourcing, I also love Short cuts.

I recently purchased a pressure cooker, it cooks food quicky and locks in the flavour, 3 times faster then conventional cooking method. Utilising a pressure cooked can drasticaly save time in the kitchen, which means spending more time with family and friends, or doing things you love.

Prices range from $80 – $200 ish, depending on where you get one.  Also with Christmas around the corner , they make great presents,

Try it, I guarentee you will love it.
